After longtime drummer surprises band mates with his decision, Evilterror carries on with ‘Dynamite,’ a new album scheduled for release on February of 2019
WASHINGTON, December 29, 2018 --- Peter Muller Steelforce, longtime drummer for the speed metal band Evilterror, has quit the band. This decision came unexpectedly for the remaining band members. According to Nathan Evilfire, lead vocals and guitar, Muller did not give specific reasons for quitting.
Evilfire explains, “this came out of nowhere and after performing for so many years together, Peter’s decision left us perplexed.” He continued, “we don’t know what triggered this but there are no hard feelings towards him. He must have had a strong reason to leave the band and we will respect that.”
“The band is currently planning the release of Dynamite, a long-awaited album that carries the roots of our souls. Peter did a great job and we are confident that a new drummer would become part of it seamlessly. We are very thankful for Peter’s contribution to Evilterror and wish him the best in his future endeavors” says Evilfire.
On the other hand, Sandy Guillen explained that “although it was a surprise to us, we are confident about our capabilities as a band.” Additionally, Mario Campani, artists manager for Evilterror, said that he tried contacting Muller via phone and social media, but Muller’s Facebook profile was unavailable and his phone calls were unanswered. He added, “right now, it’s a complete mystery… we don’t know why Peter quit.”
Evilfire and Campani indicated that several drummers have shown interest to audition and want to invite experienced metal drummers who interested in the opening to contact the band. They’ll begin calling up the interested parties for interviews, a jam session and a final decision for Muller’s replacement.
Evilterror’s latest album titled Dynamite is expected to hit pre-sale in early January, leading to its official release on February 23rd, 2019. The official release and performance will occur at the Atlas Brew Woks in Washington DC, with special guest bands such as Hell Pie, Division and Attacker, the legendary metal band from New Jersey lead by Michael Sabatini. The release party is organized by Evilterror’s record label, Reposia Records.
Evilterror was formed in 2003 in Bogota, Colombia, as a unique heavy metal trio who honors the legendary riffs and guitar licks of the genre, turning it into the modern rebirth of speed metal. Led by Nathan Daniel Evilfire (guitars & vocals) and Sandy Guillen (bass guitar & backing vocals), Evilterror was inspired by the powerful rhythm lines of the genre and influenced by relevant artists that include Judas Priest, Ostrogoth, Raven, Running Wild, and Iron Angel.
